Qualified at Liverpool Dental Hospital in 1966, (BDS U,Lpool) and obtained his MGDS,RCS (London) 1980.
He has over 40 years experience in both NHS and Private Dental Practices in Manchester City centre and the Greater Manchester area.
Phil is best known for his many articles and courses on Dental Photography – a topic which he has lectured on extensively, and the BDJ Textbook “Dental Photography” which he co- authored with Peter Gordon.
He was involved with the B.D.A’s highly acclaimed “ Training Essentials “ programme and gave a number of presentations, workshops and camera clinics, “ Live” demonstrations and lectures at the 2014 British Dental Association Conference, the ADI Congress, the Orthodontists Specialist Group and British Orthodontic Society in London .
Phil has taught Dental Photography to candidates taking the Msc Dental Implant Course at Manchester Dental Hospital, MSc Orthodontic Course for Warwick University, and to Foundation Dentists, Nurses, Therapists and Hygienists.
In 2009 he was voted as the 8th most influential dentist in the UK in a poll in the publication “Dentistry”. He is a past Branch President of the East Lancashire and Cheshire BDA, and a Diplomate of the Institute of Photography.
