Vevox have made some updates to their features in their March product update. Find out more about the new features available and improvements to existing features, including:

Introduction of team leaderboards
Import bulk questions from an Excel file
Limitless range on Numeric Polls
AI Quiz options and improvements
PowerPoint Add-in improvements

Team Leaderboards

The Team Leaderboards feature has been highly requested by Vevox users, for measuring knowledge, creating friendly competition and group bonding. By using the demographic question type, you can now specify a ‘team’ question. Once that question is set, all subsequent poll responses will be split into teams, and when it comes to scoring, the team leaderboard will show how each group team has performed.

Import bulk questions from an Excel file

This bulk import feature is ideal for instances where you have large question banks, and for users who want to make content upload quicker and more efficient. Using Vevox’s template, you can now import multiple questions and surveys.

Limitless range on Numeric Polls

For those who have been using the Numeric poll question type, you will be pleased to know that there is now a limitless range on this.

AI Quiz Improvements

There are updates to the AI Quiz Question Generator. You can now upload content source files, set difficulty settings, choose the amount of answer options and increase the number of questions generated by Vevox’s own AI Quiz Question Generator. There are also enhancements to correct answer randomization, and you can now generate up to 10 questions at a time.

PowerPoint Add-In Updates

Vevox have also made some updates to its PowerPoint Add-In, including:

Rich text options available: bold, italics, underline, for better formatting of question types
Improved Pie Chart UI and numeric poll updates to reflect the limitless range added

Upcoming Training

Ethan Butler, Customer Success Manager at Vevox, will be on campus for the Learning and Teaching Conference 2025 on Thursday 3^rd April, and has kindly agreed to host some training sessions the following day (Friday 4^th April).

Thanks to all of you who completed the recent Vevox survey, we are investigating how to address the issues raised. One of the things highlighted was the need for more support and training for the PowerPoint Add-In. In response to this, we have agreed that one of Ethan’s sessions will specifically look at the PowerPoint Add-In, with dedicated time for colleagues to show Ethan any PowerPoint related queries too.

Vevox Panel Webinar – The Future of Student Engagement

Join host, Carol Summerside (Learning Enhancement & Technology Adviser, LTDS), for a panel webinar with colleagues from Loughborough University, University of Chester and University of Aveiro.
