Acoustic Cues in Production of English and Hijazi Arabic Vowels by Hijazi Speakers: In my study, I aim to present an acoustic description of the vowel production of L1 Hijazi Arabic (HA). I also will examine the production patterns of English vowels by HA L2 learners compared with native English (NE) and L1 patterns. Additionally, I will evaluate the importance of static and dynamic cues in the classification and description of HA L1, L2, and NE vowels.
