Phonological Variation and Change, Sociophonetics, Arabic Dialects

After I did my MA in linguistics at the University of York, UK in 2010, I came here to do my PhD at Newcastle. My research interests are phonological variation and change, sociolinguistics, phonetics and Arabic dialects. I look at how the phonological systems of language varieties vary as well as change over time using techniques from both phonetics and sociolinguistics.
