Martin Weller: The Digital Scholar- themes, issues and directions

NUTELA (Newcastle University Technology Enhanced Learning Advocates) are excited to announce that Martin Weller, Professor of Educational Technology,  will be joining us for a webinar on Monday 30th April 2018.

In 2011 Martin Weller published The Digital Scholar, which examined the possible impact of digital, networked technology on scholarly practice. Much has changed since then so using the book as a basis, this talk considers changes in digital scholarship since its publication, identifying five key themes: mainstreaming of digital scholarship; the shift to open; policy implementation; network identity; criticality of digital scholarship. This talk will consider each of these, and possible future directions for digital scholarship.

The webinar will be taking place in the HASS Doctoral Training Suite.  Daysh Building 09:30-11:00 (Registration from 09:00)

There will be bacon butties and beverages for everyone and you can sign up here.
