The Inspera Digital Exams Leads continue to build and develop the asynchronous guidance available on our Inspera Learning and Teaching website. There are various pages to support you with your use of Inspera. Within this blog post you can find out how to best use our website and the different sections available.
New webpages
Over the last 12 months, there have been a series of new webpages designed to support our users. These include:
- Inspera Ad-Hoc Exams – Find out how Inspera can be used for both formative and summative ad-hocs.
- Inspera Rubrics – Find out about how you can create and add rubrics to your questions, mark using rubrics and make these available to your students both during the exam and part of feedback.
- Inspera Monitor – Find out about what the monitor area is used for and how you can use this for any formative or mock exams that you are running in-house.
- External Examiners and Inspera – Find out about how you can support external examiners to access Inspera for both reviewing questions and reviewing grades.

Getting started with Inspera
We have created a page dedicated to all the things users might need to know when they are Getting started with Inspera.
You can find out:

How can I use the guidance pages available?
Authoring Exam Questions
When it comes to setting up your exam content in question sets, you should start by looking at the Creating Questions in Inspera and Content Creation Features webpages. These guide you on how to create questions and make the most of features available to you.
Marking Exams
We have a dedicated webpage which shares all the Marking Exams in Inspera information when it comes to grading your student’s exams. If you wish to share grading among colleagues, you can also check out the options available via the Grading Committees webpage. There are various options for sharing feedback in Inspera which you can discover on the Inspera Feedback Release webpage. You may also wish to check out the Inspera Essay Comments Feedback Release webpage that shares how it is possible to enable students to view feedback comments on essay questions without auto-marked question information and correct answers being shown.
Delivering formative or mock exams in house
If you are planning to host your own formative or mock Inspera exams in house, we’d recommend that you head over to the Getting Started with Inspera webpage where you can access guidance on how to use the Inspera system. The Inspera Leads are currently building a website that has full guidance on how to deliver your own Inspera exams. This will be made available in October.
You will also want to understand how the Monitor area works when hosting your own exams, which you can find out about via the Inspera Monitor webpage.
