Vevox have made some useful updates to the PowerPoint Add-In as part of their June 2026 update. You can find out about more of the recent updates made to the Vevox dashboard on the blog post Vevox: June New Features Release. These updates help make things clearer, easier to find and better connected!
There are six key updates which include:
- New ‘View slide’ option.
- New location of the leaderboard option
- New functionality for clearing results from a question slide
- Deleting polls function change
- PowerPoint slide decks will ‘remember’ which Vevox session they were previously linked with
- New functionality around ‘switching sessions’.
Find out more about each of these updates in the rest of this blog post.
‘View slide’ option
There is now a ‘view slide’ option available. When you click the ‘view side’ button for a particular poll, PowerPoint will then jumps to that slide in your deck. This could be particularly helpful if you have a larger slide deck with Vevox questions throughout it.
Leaderboard
The leaderboard option has moved from the general side panel into the ‘add content’ area where you locate all the different content types. From here you can select individual or team leaderboard, along with your scoring type.
New functionality for clearing results from a question slide
When it comes to resetting responses in your slides, the ‘clear slide’ button has been removed from the bottom of the side panel. Instead, you can select all the polls you wish clear results for in your slides, then select ‘reset responses’. This will clear your results from a question slide in PowerPoint, and the corresponding poll in the dashboard.
Previously PowerPoint questions and Vevox questions were treated separately. If you cleared results from your slides, the polls would be duplicated within the corresponding poll of the Vevox Dashboard, in order to store the data in the original question. This led to confusion with multiple extra instances of polls being created in a users dashboard without their knowledge. This is no longer the case.
Deleting polls function change
When you deleted a poll from the from side panel, this deletes it from your slides and from the Dashboard version too, keeping everything in sync. If you did delete a question by mistake then wanted to re-add it, you can go to your question library which lists all your previously created questions and add a copy from there.
PowerPoint Slides will ‘remember’ Vevox session linked with
PowerPoint slide decks will now remember which Vevox session they were previously linked with. Previously, all PowerPoint files would always link to the last Vevox session used, regardless of the PowerPoint file being used. This sometimes led to confusion with Polls being opened in a different session than the user expected.
When you open PowerPoint and you have a file with Vevox polls, Vevox will auto connect to that session. There is need to re-select each time!
New functionality around ‘switching sessions’
PowerPoint files with existing questions will now require those questions to be imported into the Vevox session you connect to before using the file. The user is asked to choose whether or not to do this when connecting to a new Vevox session. If you want to use your slide deck with different Vevox session/questions, you now get a prompt asking if you want to bring existing polls to your session.
Previously, any questions that did not already exist in the Vevox session would be automatically created when the poll was opened from PowerPoint This sometimes led to confusion with polls being added to different sessions than the user expected.
