Michele Giunta and Manar Aoun (Mitochondrial European Educational Training (MEET) researchers) organised a dissemination event addressed to students of the secondary school “ITAS ‘G. CANTONI’” (Italy) to introduce the Marie Curie program opportunities and the EU FP7 MEET project.
Michele, based at the IGM, and Manar, a Lebanese researcher based at Fondazione IRCCS Carlo Besta in Milan, presented short sessions about mitochondrial diseases and about European educational grant opportunities for young researchers. Dr Juliane Mueller and Beccie Brennan, also from the IGM at Newcastle University, presented at the event.
The event was held in Treviglio (Italy) on April 9th, and was included in the MEETers’ activities funded by European Commission in order to spread information about mitochondrial diseases and novel treatment avenues.
